DAVID BRINER
EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
David Briner is an executive producer with over 20 years of experience focused on film development, financing, and production. He specializes in guiding projects from early-stage concept through packaging, capital raise, and execution, with a strong emphasis on aligning creative vision with disciplined financial and operational strategy. Briner has a proven ability to structure and secure funding, manage complex productions, and collaborate across talent, directors, and production partners to bring projects to market efficiently. His work spans independent features, pilots, and branded content, with a hands-on approach to budgeting, scheduling, and overall project delivery. Known for building trusted relationships across the industry, he operates at the intersection of creative and business—ensuring that each project is both artistically compelling and financially viable.
His leadership style is grounded in clarity, accountability, and long-term partnership. STEVEN E. SIMON
PRODUCER
Steven E. Simon has worked in the film and TV industry and a long-standing member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA), with a career spanning over three decades of high-level production work. Since 1991, Steven has been a cornerstone of sets across the U.S. and internationally, coordinating complex logistics for teams ranging from dozens to hundreds of people. He has served as a Key 2nd AD on a vast array of high-profile projects, including blockbuster features like Fast & Furious 7, Us, and Lemony Snicket’s A series of Unfortunate Events, as well as cultural touchstones like Taylor Swift’s "I Bet You Think About Me" music video.
Steven’s extensive television credits further demonstrate his versatility, with contributions to prestige dramas and acclaimed series such as Westworld, Lost, Bones and CSI. Beyond his technical expertise in managing large-scale studio productions, Steven brings a unique depth of empathy and intuition to his work, shaped by a foundational background in youth counseling. This rare combination of real-time problem-solving and interpersonal skill allows him to navigate even the most sensitive production challenges with a calm, professional demeanor. A dedicated collaborator, Steven is thrilled to leverage his veteran industry experience to help bring this latest creative vision to life.
SHAYLA RIGGLE
PRODUCER & PROGRAM DIRECTOR
Shayla Riggle is an entertainment professional with over 30 years of experience across film, television, and theater, both in front of and behind the camera. She began her career working with networks including BET, Universal NBC, Oxygen, UPN, and The CW, and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she trained in classical theater and writing and later performed internationally. Recognizing a lack of diversity in classical spaces, she founded ShayTime Features to create elevated, classical-inspired content for actors of color. Her flagship project, Gods of Empires, is a multi-platform Afrofuturistic sci-fi fantasy universe developed over 26 years. Shayla is also an award-winning writer, earning Best Comedy Script honors at the 2023 California Women’s Film Festival and Marina del Rey Film Festival.

In addition to her creative work, Shayla has built a strong career in film sales, financing, and distribution. She began at Echelon Studios before founding The Hudson Sterling Firm, where she helped sell over 8,000 films across 80 countries, managed a Roku channel, and raised more than $7 million for independent artists. In 2021, she founded the nonprofit Riggle Me That Production, which provides arts education and workforce development programs, including classical theater initiatives in Denver schools and media projects like the “Pearls of Wellness” podcast. Across all of her work, Shayla is committed to creating access, building sustainable careers, and using storytelling as a pathway to economic empowerment.
